I grew a couple of the new Profusion zinnias this year. Profusion ‘Double Deep Salmon’ instantly won me over. The flowers are indeed dark salmon:
As they age they become a gorgeous shade of peach mixed with yellow and pink highlights:
‘Double Deep Salmon’ shares all the winning attributes of its Profusion siblings. The plants grow about 14 to 18 inches tall and spread 18 to 24 inches wide. The plants will reward you with flowers from early summer until frost whether you deadhead them or not.
Profusion zinnias grow well in sun or partial shade. The plants tolerate heat and are resistant to disease.
And the butterflies think they’re pretty special too.
