Species Tulip ‘Tangerine Beauty’

‘Tangerine Beauty’ is an odd little tulip. Like many other species tulips it’s a nice, short, front-of-the-border plant, but the blooms are huge. In fact they are bigger than most regular-sized garden tulips. Sitting at ground level those big blooms look a little out of place—like the rest of the plant forgot to grow.

‘Tangerine Beauty’ has eye-catching flowers with fiery-red petals and orange flames. The gray-green foliage is twisty and curly. This is another species tulip that is a little less cold-tolerant. The bulbs are hardy in Zones 5-8.

‘Tangerine Beauty’ blooms in mid-spring.
