Our Christmas tree is adorned with plenty of religious ornaments each Christmas, but over the years a secondary theme has emerged. Every Christmas season I try to find at least one new bird or nature-themed ornament to hang on the tree, and now there are so many of them that I didn’t have to crack open a single box of plain ornaments this year–there were too many snowmen and birds and little animals crowding them out.

We had our lawyer daughter and family home for five days. They went back this afternoon. Our son lives here in St. John’s. See them often.
