When Your Garden Needs a Jolt

Just when some of my annuals are starting to get tired from all that blooming (I’m talking to you, cosmos, verbenas and petunias!), along come the Jolt dianthus to perk up the garden.

For the last couple of years I’ve enjoyed ‘Pink Jolt’:

And ‘Cherry Jolt’:

But this year I also added ‘Pink Magic Jolt’ to the mix:

The Jolt series grows 16 to 20 inches tall in full sun to part shade. The plants aren’t bothered by insects or diseases and they bloom for a very long time.

They flowers look especially lovely with purples like asters:
