It took me over a week to get any photographs of the beautiful Indigo Buntings that visited my feeders this spring. They are hands down the most skittish birds I’ve ever stalked with my camera. The slightest movement will scare them away.
I usually see at least one during spring migration, but this year I had at least three of them. I spotted one sitting in our apple tree with a male Cardinal and a male Goldfinch. The bold blue, red and yellow colors together were just stunning.
