On Monday I had another don’t-blink-or-you’ll-miss-it fall visitor, when a Brown Thrasher stopped by my feeders to grab some peanuts. I haven’t seen one in my yard in 3 years.
According to the Cornell of Ornithology’s All About Birds website, Brown Thrashers “are exhuberant singers, with one of the largest repertoires of any North American songbird.”
Thrashers may sing as many 1,100 different song types and they can also imitate other birds.
