By the weekend most of the migrating birds had continued north (which is good because I need to concentrate on getting my baby plants into the ground!). On Saturday morning I was surprised to hear some warblers singing sweetly from the tops of the oak trees.
The leaves have really popped out in the last few days so it’s getting harder and harder to find such tiny birds much less photograph them, but I found the loudest little culprit…a beautiful Blackburnian Warbler:
