I’m still rationing those old dried blueberries I’ve been putting on the feeders for the robins, and they are a big hit. Several robins now take turns coming to the feeder and gobbling up as many as they can before they’re pushed off by another customer.
The grass is just starting to green up, but the nighttime temperatures are still in the 20s(F) so there aren’t a lot of insects and worms available for them quite yet.
Unfortunately starlings will also eat dried blueberries so when I toss out the day’s handful, it’s first come, first served.
