I’m not a fan of these parasitic birds that lay their eggs in other birds’ nests, but every year I get excited when I see the first Brown-headed Cowbird because it’s yet another sign that spring migration season has begun.
This year the first one appeared on my feeder on March 24th and this year I saw one for the first time on March 23rd, so we’re right on schedule!
