Petunia Opera Supreme series ‘Opera Pink Morn’ was always my go-to pink petunia, but the seeds have been getting harder and harder to find. This year I didn’t sprout any Operas and instead went with ‘Tidal Wave Silver’ and some Easy Waves for my mom.
Opera ‘Rapsberry Ice’ is still widely available, but for whatever reason I wasn’t motivated to purchase any seeds. I might change my mind for next year’s garden. My brother-in-law grew them this year and they were practically exploding out of his pots and planters.
Opera series petunias grow 4 to 6 inches high with a spread of 2 to 3 feet. They crank out the blooms all summer until frost without any deadheading.
These petunias are also good at staying bushy and full all summer and not dying out in the middle.
