I’m hoping with neighbors on either side of me now feeding backyard birds as well that we can share the starlings. There are so many of them already—usually they show up in a bigger flock after Christmas and I have to stop feeding peanuts (either that or go bankrupt).
I also have an unusually-large flock of greedy House Sparrows raiding my feeders right now. If it weren’t for the nuthatches, chickadees, juncos and cardinals (and the occasional flicker and Tufted Titmouse) that manage to sneak in appearances, I might be tempted to take all my feeders down for awhile.
