This is what I see when I look out of my office windows these days.
I’ve tried all the tricks, but he won’t stop trying to peck at his reflection. The little clunking noise his beak makes on the window glass goes on for hours and is maddening. I feel bad that he’s exhausting himself, but nothing seems to deter him–not even putting black paper over the window (on the outside!).
I’ve lost track of what round I’m on (he’s won them all so far), but my latest trick is to load the feeders with peanuts in hopes (I can’t believe I’m saying this) of attracting some grackles or starlings which are bully birds and will hopefully drive the young robin away.
