I love my spreadable suet feeders, but I wish the House Sparrows weren’t able to cling on them. I may have found one they can’t use.
A screw holds this feeder together. You can open it up wide and spread the suet/peanut butter mix inside and then close it up again so only a gap shows.
Woodpeckers have long tongues that they use to grab insects and larvae from tree bark so they can reach in the gap to get the high-energy treat.
House Sparrows are finally out of luck!
