One of my impulse purchases this spring was a Proven Winner Salvia called ‘Rockin’ Blue Suede Shoes’. The flowers are a very pretty blue-lavender:

Living up to the Proven Winner name, they started blooming in early June and never stopped.

The plants grow 30 to 40 inches tall and are heat and drought tolerant. And they don’t require any deadheading either.
I like that they thrive in sun or part-sun. I have plenty of the latter.

I planted two right next to my screen porch, and I have enjoyed watching all the hummingbirds that are attracted to the pretty flowers.
