Calendula ‘Touch of Red’

For the last couple of years I’ve been trialling different calendula cultivars. Last summer I grew ‘Touch of Red’. The plants grow 16 to 18 inches tall and prefer full sun, but mine did just fine with only 4 hours of sunlight.

The plants aren’t bothered by pests or diseases and will flower all summer long if deadheaded. ‘Touch of Red’ will surprise you with an interesting mix of colors:

Beautiful flowers. Looked at Pinetree, a nice selection and good prices. More than enough seed per packet for the home gardener. Will grow a few Touch of Red to see how they hold up at our summer place near the ocean. If I have to stake them I will. James
