Some of my shade perennials didn’t survive winter. One of my new replacement plants is a goatsbeard that I couldn’t resist. It’s a hybrid called ‘Whirlwind’:
The plants grow 26 to 28 inches tall with white plumes. But what I really like about this cultivar is the lacy, feathery foliage:
