Agastache ‘Blue Boa’ is an eye-catching pollinator plant with pretty, violet-blue flower spikes.

I added one to my new pollinator flowerbed in May. The plant has been continuously blooming since early June, and I haven’t had to deadhead it.

‘Blue Boa’ grows 36 inches tall and prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Some garden websites say it could develop powdery mildew, so I was concerned because we’ve had more than 16 inches of rain just since the beginning of June!
But so far the leaves on ‘Blue Boa’ have remained healthy and the plant continues to fill out.
I like to sit on our screen porch and listen to the hum of the bumblebees who visit the flower spikes. I have also seen hummingbirds sip nectar from the flowers.
‘Blue Boa’ is definitely a great addition to the pollinator flowerbed!

This plant is deer and rabbit resistant. And it’s hardy in Zones 5-9.
My growing zone is 5b. If ‘Blue Boa’ survives the winter with no issues, I will probably add a second one to a different flowerbed next spring!
