Tulip season flew by very quickly this year. It was so chilly for most of spring that the bulbs stayed hidden safely in the ground. When the weather finally moderated, we jumped from daytime highs in the 50s to highs in the upper 70s in a little over a week. The tulips shot up, opened and got baked and faded in the warm sun.
