Another Redpoll!

My female Common Redpoll is no longer alone! On Friday morning a male appeared with a small flock of goldfinches.The difference between male and female Common Redpolls is the flush of rose on the breast and flanks of the male.

So far my new visitor only wants to hang out near the front yard feeders, so the only photos I can snap are through a window screen making them a bit fuzzy:

It’s been bitterly cold for the last several days, so that may given this little guy some incentive to visit my bird feeders.
