Hosta ‘Dream Queen’ grows slowly, but eventually reaches 26-28 inches tall and spreads 2.5 to 5 feet. My plant hasn’t grown much at all since I purchased it last spring.
At maturity the thick leaves are blue-green with a cream-colored center. The slugs don’t seem to bother ‘Dream Queen’ like they do some of the thinner-leafed hostas I grow.
This cultivar is a sport of the famous ‘Great Expectations’ hosta and sends up white flowers in July. I’m looking forward to seeing how large ‘Dream Queen’ gets in my flowerbed.
