Did you know peonies can last for decades in a garden? That’s why I’m not frustrated that Peony ‘Celebrity’ has been growing in my backyard for 5 years now, yet it still doesn’t showcase the large, fluffy flowers that you see online and in photos in garden catalogs.
The first full year in my garden it had small, just-slightly-double blooms:

The next year the center really filled out in those flowers, but they were still small and mostly-double.

‘Celebrity’ grows 32 inches tall and 3 to 4 feet wide. It blooms in May and June and is hardy in Zones 4-8.
