Sedum ‘Thunderhead’ Continues to Impress

I was so pleased with Sedum ‘Thunderhead’ last year that I bought a couple more plants this spring. It’s so nice to have something new blooming from late summer into fall.

The dark-rose flowers on this cultivar are huge:

Some sedums can get a little sprawly or floppy, but ‘Thunderhead’ has an upright habit, and the stems are sturdy:

Sedum grow best in full sun, but they will also tolerate part-shade. They flowers attract pollinators like crazy.

‘Thunderhead’ grows about 30 inches tall and is hardy in Zones 4-9. The plants begin blooming in August.

Hi Em, I saw this beautiful sedum the other week, when I was in your backyard and made a mental note to buy a plant or two next year for my garden. Did you get it at The Flower Factory?
