Rudbeckia subtomentosa (sweet coneflower) ‘Little Henry’ grows 36-48 inches tall and is the compact version of ‘Henry Eilers’ which can reach 5 feet tall.
This Midwestern native begins blooming in August with charming quilled petals:
‘Little Henry’ will tolerate full sun to part-shade and tolerates just about any type of soil.
It’s nice to have something fresh blooming in the garden in late summer into fall, and as a bonus this rudbeckia attracts bees and butterflies.
‘Little Henry’ is hardy in Zones 4-8.
