I sprouted a new petunia this year called ‘Hurrah Coral Flare’. I didn’t think it would amount to much because I didn’t write the plant down on my seed-starting list, and it wasn’t until April that I discovered the seed packet. I usually start all my petunias in early March so this one was really getting a late start.
Boy was I shocked when this coral beauty bloomed two weeks ahead of both my Wave and Opera Supreme Petunias.
‘Hurrah Coral Flame’ is a multiflora petunia that grows 12 inches tall, and is supposed to thrive in heat and humidity. I’ll hold any further gushing until I see how it looks later in the summer when most petunias get leggy and ugly. For now I’m very impressed.
