The first snowfall of the season is officially in the books. Light rain turned into giant snowflakes early on Saturday morning. It snowed for about an hour and completely covered the grass, but by late morning it had all melted.
The bird feeders got quite popular, and I was surprised when a flock of Red-winged Blackbirds dropped in for a bit. I thought they had all migrated weeks ago.
