Another Jolt Dianthus to Try!

I ordered more ‘Cherry Jolt’ (seen below) and ‘Pink Jolt’ dianthus seeds again for next year’s garden. Those cultivars were two of my favorite flowers last year. The plants are unflappable. They tolerate dry conditions and wet conditions, and no pests bother them. And they keep blooming until a hard freeze.

For 2018 some seed companies are selling a third sibling in the series. ‘Jolt Pink Magic’ has flowers in shades of pink and white. From the seed catalog photos I’m guessing the plants will look a lot like ‘Neon Rose Magic’ Dianthus:

These lovely plants grow 16 to 20 inches tall in full or partial sun.
