Miniature Irises

It never occurred to me to try forcing miniature irises. I’m glad someone else thought of it!

When I saw some at a greenhouse earlier this week, I couldn’t resist them. None of the pots were in bloom yet, so I wasn’t sure what I might get if I brought some home with me. Would they get any taller before blooming?

Less than 24 hours later I had my answer as all of them opened up at once. Aren’t they adorable? And such a gorgeous bluish-purple!
