My insect nemesis is back for the gardening season. I spotted my first Japanese Beetle last Wednesday. I wondered why some of my zinnias were missing their petals:
So far there aren’t very many of them. Hopefully it will be a light year.

Sorry to see that the beetles are back in your yard. So far, I haven’t seen any. As you say, hopefully they will be lighter this year. The mosquitoes are bad enough right now!
