The end of April really shouldn’t look like this, but alas, this was the view from my window yesterday afternoon. The snowflakes were huge—some of them bigger than golf balls.
I haven’t seen many migrant birds in the last week. They probably decided to go back to Florida.
I did spot some White-throated Sparrows in the morning:
After it stopped snowing, a pair of Chipping Sparrows flew to the shrub near my window, fluffed out their feathers and took a nap. I know what they were thinking, because I was thinking it too.
