I’m giving cosmos ‘Velouette’ a try this year. When the first few flowers opened a couple of weeks ago, some of them were a lovely shade of salmon, but that’s not what they are supposed to look like. Now they seem to be finding their groove.
Cosmos ‘Velouette’ is a bi-color cosmos with red-and-white-striped flowers (with variations of pink and salmon thrown in for good measure).
The plants grow about 30 inches tall and appreciate full sun and well-drained soil.
