I think Fox Sparrows are gorgeous with their rusty-colored speckles and streaks. And they are fun to watch as they jump back and forth on the ground trying to kick up insects and seeds with their feet.
These birds also have a very sweet song. I usually hear them before I see them.

Some of these vagrant birds probably made part of their transatlantic journey by ship, after touching down to rest on a vessel far from shore.”
