This year I added Zinnia ‘Benary’s Giant Orange’ to my back row of tall zinnias. I like that the color is a very dark, Halloweeny orange.
Benary’s zinnias grow 40 to 50 inches tall and really stand out from across the yard. They’ll keep blooming all summer into fall if you keep them deadheaded.
As summer starts winding down, I let some of the spent flowers go to seed so the goldfinches and other birds can enjoy them.
