I’ve noticed fewer juncos in my yard this winter, and I heard on a local radio show last week that others are noticing smaller flocks this season as well.
According to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s All About Birds website, there are more than 630 million juncos in North America.
So far this season I can only account for about 8 of them.
