‘Splash’

I have grown Amaryllis ‘Splash’ during previous winters, and I just can’t get enough of this adorable cultivar.

The double flowers are a brilliant red with a white starburst.

The stalks are supposed to top out at 20 to 24 inches tall, but my bulbs have always stayed on the short side. This year the first (and so far only) flower stalk topped out at 16 inches. Several winters ago one grew only 10 inches tall.

The flowers are about 6 inches wide and look like a little fireworks show when they are all in bloom together.
