One of my rudbeckias is about to unfurl. Of all my annuals the rudbeckias are usually the latest to start blooming, so it’s rather unusual to have one beating even the zinnias to the punch. This is ‘Goldilocks’:
My Achillea ‘Angelique’ had to be moved earlier this spring from the front yard where the landscapers were working to a new spot in the backyard. It survived the transition just fine:
I purchased an Ostrich Plume astilbe (Astilbe thunbergii ‘Straussenfeder’) a few weeks ago to fill in a spot in the back row of my shade garden. It will grow 36-42 inches tall. I like the drooping flowers:
