I’ve mentioned before that I have a little microphone in my window that captures bird songs and other noises outside my office window. I can use it with the window closed which comes in handy in the winter or early spring when it’s too cold to open the window or on sticky summer days when I’d rather have the air conditioning on but I still want to listen to the sounds of nature in my backyard.
The other day I had it turned on during a Zoom meeting and several Sandhill Cranes decided to circle our neighborhood and honk away for about 3 minutes, and it was so loud you could hear it on the Zoom meeting.
I ran outside to see if I could snap a photo, and I did capture a shot of the straggler of the group before they all disappeared into the horizon.
