It always amazes me how I can spend hours and hours pulling out and trimming down plants from all my flowerbeds in the spring or fall. But when I’m done, the pile next to the curb looks so tiny!
Our first of three leaf and garden waste pick-ups is this week and if you snooze, you lose, so I wanted to get some of my plants out to the curb. But we still haven’t had a hard frost yet and I have honeybees on my annuals and perennials that are still blooming so I left them.
My ‘Tidal Wave Silver’ petunias still look fantastic!
And I have anise hyssop, a few veronicas, some dahlias, mums and ‘Big Blue’ annual salvias not ready to give up yet. Plus one lone lisianthus plant that looks a little tired, but it’s still blooming!
