I added some ‘Rocket’ snapdragons to the back rows of my flowerbeds this year. Considered the best tall snapdragon, these plants grow 24-36 inches tall and come in pretty shades of red, rose, pink, yellow, bronze and white.
I’ve sprouted snapdragons from seed in the past and I’ve had success with them, but this year I cheated and purchased plants at a garden center.
Rocket likes full sun but will tolerate part sun—especially in warmer climates. Snapdragons are cool season annuals, but Rocket is considered an “all season variety” and handles summer heat better than most snapdragon cultivars. They’ll continue to bloom throughout the summer if you keep them deadheaded.
