Last spring I purchased a new phlox (paniculata) called ‘Spinners’. The snazzy, bi-colored flowers are peppermint pink and white.
‘Spinners’ grows about 30 inches tall in full or part sun. My plant bloomed all summer long and was disease-free (no powdery mildew—YAY!).
The flowers are busy and bright so you probably don’t want to grow ‘Spinners’ next to your favorite orange daylily, but the plant looks great with purples, some reds, yellow and of course, white.
‘Spinners’ is hardy to Zone 3. Our spring weather has been so mild that my plant is already forming a nice little clump of foliage.
