I haven’t bought a new daylily in several years, so I was surprised when ‘Big Sur’ bloomed this summer and I didn’t have any record of it nor did I have any previous photos of it in my collection.
‘Big Sur’ grows 30 inches tall with rose-colored flowers and a yellow-green throat.
The 6.5″ flowers are very fragrant.
The plant bloomed at the same time as daylily ‘Zella Virginia’ and I thought the flowers looked kind of fun together:
