I saw daylily ‘Flame of Hades’ on a garden tour several years ago and decided I had to have it. The scapes reach 46 inches tall and display huge orange-red flowers with a bright-yellow throat.
The plant performed well for me for two seasons, but I decided last fall to move it to a more prominent location in the back of one of my annual beds. It was a good decision.
‘Flame of Hades’ looked fantastic towering above the other flowers, and it churned out blooms for weeks.
‘Flame of Hades’ is a dormant daylily and blooms later in the daylily season.
