‘Marit’ is another new-to-me Darwin tulip that I planted last fall. The flowers are a combination of cherry-red and butter-yellow.
The flowers are huge compared to other standard tulips and they grow on sturdy 24-inch stalks. My plants have been blooming for several weeks now, and the flowers still look great despite enduring many rainy and/or windy days.
‘Marit’ is hardy in Zones 3-8 and blooms in mid-spring.
