My ‘Uncle Bryan’ daylily bloomed for a ridiculously long time this summer. The flowers opened up around the same time as hundreds of my other daylilies, but it long after the other plants were pooped out for the season, ‘Uncle Bryan’ was still blooming away.
The flowers are supposed to be 6-inches across, but mine are closer to 7 inches. The bright-red flowers have a distinct yellow-green throat.
‘Uncle Bryan’ is a dormant daylily that grows only 25 inches tall. I have mine growing in the front row of a flower border where the big, bold flowers catch my eye from across the yard.
