Phlox ‘Twister’

Phlox ‘Twister’ adds a little flair to the garden. The pure-white flowers are splashed with an interesting fuchsia-pink flame.:

‘Twister’ is compact for a phlox. It grows only 12 to 16 inches tall. This is the first year I’ve grown ‘Twister’ and my plant is peaking at 10 inches tall.

I’m impressed that the plant started blooming in June and is still going 2 months later. I deadheaded a few of the stalks this week, and I’m curious to discover if they will attempt to rebloom before the first frost. So far ‘Twister’ shows no sign of powdery mildew, but I’ve read that this cultivar may be susceptible.

‘Twister’ has an upright habit and is hardy in Zones 4-8. It’s a cute little conversation piece.
