I have several daylilies that get moved around a lot through no fault of their own, and ‘Ruby Spice’ is one of them. My plant has been transplanted at least 4 times since I first introduced it to my yard more than 5 years ago.
Thankfully ‘Ruby Spice’ has always risen to the challenge. The scapes on this dormant daylily grow 30 inches tall with 6-inch flowers. The flowers are eye-catching. They start out ruby red in the middle and fade to a pinkish-salmon color on the outer edges.
‘Ruby Spice’ blooms in the middle of the daylily season.
