One of my favorite dark daylilies is ‘Her Majesty’s Wizard’:
The 5-inch, wine-purple flowers have a lighter purple halo and yellow-green throat. The petals and sepals have a very subtle cream-colored edge.
‘Her Majesty’s Wizard’ really stands out when planted next to gold or yellow flowers. The plants grow 24 inches tall and bloom early in the daylily season.
