Superbloomer?

This year I’m trying a new echinacea (purple coneflower) that has been receiving raves. ‘PowWow Wild Berry’ is a 2010 AAS winner. The dark-pink flowers do not fade and they do not need to be deadheaded in order for the plant to set more buds.

I keep reading again and again how profusely this cultivar blooms, so I just had to give it a try. The compact plants grow 20 to 24 inches tall with 3-4″ flowers that appear on sturdy stems.

‘PowWow Wild Berry’ is hardy in Zones 3-9. I hope this perennial lives up to its hype!
