Dusty Miller ‘Silverado’

I don’t think I’ve grown Dusty Miller in my flowerbeds since the early 90s, but I decided to sprout some from seed this year just for something different. I got 100% germination from the seeds, and the seedlings needed no attention from me other than the occasional drink of water.

‘Silverado’ is a compact Dusty Miller with excellent weather-resistance. My annuals have been growing a little more slowly this year because of all the rain, so ‘Silverado’ is just starting to fill out:

‘Silverado’ grows 12 inches high and prefers at least a half-day of sun. I decided the cool color would really complement some bluish-purple ageratums.
