I don’t remember seeing this daylily bloom last year, but perhaps it strutted its stuff at the peak of the heatwave when we were all hunkering down next to our air conditioners and fans. This year I definitely noticed it.
This is ‘Fiesta Latina’:
‘Fiesta Latina’ has dark-orange flowers with a bright-red eye and contrasting yellow throat. It’s a taller daylily that grows 36 inches with 6-inch fragrant flowers.
‘Fiesta Latina’ is a dormant daylily that blooms in the middle of the daylily season.
