I originally purchased Daylily ‘Northfield’ for its very fragrant blooms. The tame, butter-yellow flowers aren’t going to win any awards, but this daylily is great for bringing out the bold colors of neighboring flowers.
‘Northfield’ is an old cultivar (1960), so it’s inexpensive to purchase. The plants grow 36 inches tall with 5-inch flowers that appear for many weeks each summer.
